When we do find attractive opportunities we act with conviction, meaning our portfolio concentration is higher than most. We do not see value and quality as mutually exclusive and consider both when making investment decisions. We invest in South Africa, the UK, EU, and US. The fund is managed by Johann Steyn who is also the largest single investor. Prior to founding Steen Capital Partners he was managing director and head of equity research at a top Wall Street investment bank and a number 1-rated investment analyst for more than a decade.
He has advised many company CEO’s and CFO’s on capital allocation and strategy to deliver improved outcomes for shareholders.
He founded Steen Capital Partners in 2022 and is fund manager of the Steen Partners High Equity Prescient QIF Hedge Fund.
